Depixellation experiments
Spending much too much time in in front of my screen, I am trying to move some of my activity out into the physical world. This project is part of a testing process using the original pixels, mosaics, a material with a history going at least 4.000 years back. In my proof-of-concept process to test limits to facial recognition, an AI did a depixellation and generated a possible portrait from the image information contained in the rough glass mosaic. In a parallel process I applied Emotion Analysis software to the original portrait, to gage the depth of how the softwares suggestions compare to my own sentiments towards the portrait expression.
